Job summary

HKEX is seeking an IPO Vetting professional to support the IPO Vetting Department in processing new equity listing applications and pre-IPO enquiries.

You will draft comment letters and department reports for Listing Committee, and collaborate on IPO policy matters under supervision. The role requires 3+ years in related fields and fluency in English and Chinese with Putonghua essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountants, lawyers or graduates in relevant disciplines with at least 3 years in accounting, law, corporate finance, investment banking or related field.
• Knowledge of Listing Rules and securities industry practices including securities laws and accounting practices.
• Good interpersonal and presentation skills; proficient in research and investigative procedures.
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; Putonghua essential.

Job Summary

The IPO Vetting Department of the Listing Division is responsible for processing:

• applications for new equity listings including transactions by listed companies deemed to be new listings;
• pre-IPO enquiries relating to new equity listings.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide support to a team manager in processing IPO applications
• Draft comment letters and Department reports to Listing Committee
• Provide support for pre-IPO enquiries and IPO related policy matters as assigned by supervisor

Job Requirements

• Qualified accountants/lawyers or university graduates of other relevant disciplines with at least 3 years working experience in accounting, law, corporate finance, investment banking or a related field
• Experience that demonstrates knowledge of the Listing Rules and knowledge of the securities industry and its practices including securities laws and accounting practices
• Good interpersonal and presentation skills and knowledge of research, investigative techniques and procedures
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese. Proficiency in Putonghua is essential
