Job summary

Alexis Services is seeking an OpenShift Platform Engineer in Hong Kong to support a new OpenShift environment and coordinate with the vendor. This hands-on role focuses on stability, security alignment, and platform performance, working closely with internal teams to manage deployments and incident responses.

You will engineer and optimise OpenShift/Kubernetes, build CI/CD pipelines, implement logging/monitoring, and ensure patching and vulnerability management with security teams.

Qualifications

• Degree or higher diploma in IT, computer science, or related field.
• 5+ years in SRE/DevOps with hands-on OpenShift experience.
• Experience with CI/CD and IaC tools (Jenkins, GitLab, ArgoCD, Terraform) and networking (NGINX).
• Proficiency in Bash or Python; exposure to databases, virtualization, container tech; security awareness.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical liaison with the platform vendor to ensure security alignment.
• Engineer, maintain, and optimise the OpenShift/Kubernetes platform for stability and performance.
• Build and manage CI/CD and GitOps pipelines with progressive deployment and rollback strategies.
• Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting to maintain visibility and pre-empt issues.
• Perform platform hardening, patching, and image vulnerability management with security teams.
• Support development teams on integration and releases, and lead incident response and root cause analysis.
