Job summary

Hospital Authority invites applications for the role of Assistant Building Services Inspector / Assistant Clerk of Works (REF. NO.: HO2601016).

The monthly pay ranges from HK$30,809 to HK$56,263, with a gratuity up to 15% subject to satisfactory performance. The position requires a Diploma or Higher Certificate in Building Services Engineering or Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or Building Studies, plus at least 3 years of relevant experience and a valid Construction Industry Safety Training

Qualifications

• Diploma or Higher Certificate in Building Services Engineering or Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or Building Studies.
• Grade E or above in HKCEE Chinese/English or Level 2+ in HKDSE.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience after qualification.
• Valid Construction Industry Safety Training Certificate (Green Card).
• Knowledge of common office automation (e-mail, Internet, MS Office, etc.).
• Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in supervision of building services and building works on site.
• Assist in administration and control of Works Supervisory staff.
• Monitor labour, progress, materials, and equipment on site.
• Maintain site records and submit monthly returns.
• Coordinate with contractors, utility companies, client, and government departments.
• Resolve minor disputes between contractors and others on site.
• Ensure delivery of approved materials and equipment to site.
• Assist in checking site measurements and payments claimed by contractors.
• Support site surveys and proposals for alterations or repairs.
• Inspect and witness testing/ commissioning of building works.
• Monitor progress and defects rectification on building services.
• Check site safety and environmental protection; report non-conformities.
• Work according to duty roster; be prepared for emergency calls and typhoon duty.
• Perform other duties to facilitate capital works projects.
