Job summary

Tak Shing Investment Co Ltd in Hong Kong is seeking an Assistant Building Services Engineer to manage and coordinate daily MEP building operations while ensuring statutory compliance. You will supervise on-site teams, coordinate with contractors, and maintain documentation for regulatory submissions.

The role requires 3–4 years of MEP experience, knowledge of local systems, and strong organizational and communication skills to liaise with property management and supervisors.

Qualifications

Job description

Reporting directly to the Department Manager (E&M), the Engineer will manage and coordinate daily MEP building operations and statutory compliance matters. The role requires hands-on B.S. coordination, contractor management, and direct supervision of on-site technical teams.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily MEP operations and act as the primary operational liaison between B.S. supervisors and department management.
• Oversee and coordinate work execution with contractors inside the building.
• Review, track, and manage all B.S. technical documentation, method statements, material submissions, and operational progress reports.
• Handle technical and operational issues raised by the Property / Management Office.
• Deploy, schedule, and supervise in-house technical teams and external contractors to execute necessary B.S. works.
• Conduct regular B.S. inspections to ensure quality workmanship, system reliability, compliance, and workplace safety standards.
• Ensure all building services / MEP systems strictly adhere to Hong Kong statutory requirements and relevant codes of practice.
• Assist in preparing documentation, inspection records, and applications required for statutory submissions and routine regulatory inspections.

About you

Higher Diploma or Diploma in Building Services Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.

3 to 4 years of relevant experience in MEP building operations, installation, or B.S. coordination.

Sound knowledge of local MEP systems, building statutory compliance, and B.S. operational workflows.

Good organizational skills, clear communication, and ability to coordinate effectively between contractors, property management teams, and B.S. supervisors.

Good command of written and spoken Cantonese and English.
