Job summary

Hospital Authority in Hong Kong seeks a Building Services Supervisor to assist senior staff in managing major capital projects with technical advisory support. You will help supervise on-site building services, monitor resources, check contractor claims, and conduct surveys and inspections throughout construction.

The role requires a technical certificate or equivalent experience, several years of site supervision, and strong English/Chinese language skills.

Qualifications

• A technical certificate or equivalent experience in building services is required.
• At least 3 years’ site supervisory experience is required after qualification.
• English and Chinese language ability to Form 3 level is required.
• Valid Construction Industry Safety Training Certificate (Green Card) is required.
• Proficiency in common office software and AutoCAD is expected.
• Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills are essential.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently and under pressure, including crises.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Building Services Inspector in supervising building services on site.
• Monitor labour resources, progress, materials and equipment on site.
• Check site measurements and payments claimed by contractors.
• Conduct site surveys and propose alterations or repairs as needed.
• Inspect testing and commissioning of building services installations.
• Review operation and maintenance manuals and as-fitted drawings.
• Work per duty roster; attend emergencies and typhoon duty; perform other duties as assigned.
