Job summary

Leadingnation in Hong Kong is seeking a project assistant to assist in supervising on-site building services works and maintaining accurate site records throughout contracts and maintenance periods.

You will support monitoring labour, progress, materials and equipment, check measurements and contractor payments, conduct site surveys, inspect testing and commissioning, review operation manuals and as-fitted drawings, and report weekly to the facility management team.

Qualifications

• Certificate in Building Services Engineering or equivalent.
• 3 years’ relevant experience in Hong Kong.

Responsibilities

• Assist in supervising on-site building services work and maintaining site records.
• Assist in monitoring labour, progress, materials, and equipment on site.
• Assist in checking site measurements and contractor payment claims.
• Assist in site surveys of existing installations and propose alterations or repairs.
• Assist in inspection of testing and commissioning; review calibration tools and equipment.
• Assist in checking operation and maintenance manuals and as-fitted drawings.
• Perform other duties as directed by Project Surveyor and Building Services Engineer.
• Report weekly to facility management on inspections and work performed.

Education

Certificate in Building Services Engineering or equivalent

3 years’ relevant experience in Hong Kong

Job description

Qualifications:

• (a) Certificate in Building Services Engineering or equivalent; and
• (b) 3 years’ relevant experience in Hong Kong

Duties and Responsibilities:

• (a) Assist in all aspects of supervision of building services work on site within the contracts and the maintenance of site records
• (b) Assist in the monitoring of labour resources, progress, materials and equipment used on site
• (c) Assist in the checking of site measurements of building services works and payments claimed by contractors
• (d) Assist in the site survey of existing building services installations during the construction stage, including submission of proposals for additional, alteration or repair works
• (e) Assist in the inspection of testing and commissioning of building services installations, including the review on calibration tools and equipment
• (f) Assist in the checking of building services operation and maintenance manuals and as-fitted drawings submitted by various contractors
• (g) Carry out all such other duties as directed by the Project Surveyor and Building Services Engineer
• (h) Report in person to cluster/hospital/Head Office Administration Department facility management in-charge at weekly interval to brief him/ her on what RSS had inspected or done

High priority for candidates who have already completed 49-hour Safety Supervisor Training or equivalent organized by Occupational Safety & Health Council (OSHC) / Construction Industry Council (CIC)
