Job summary

The Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority is seeking a Cyber Security professional to join its information security team. The role supports cybersecurity projects, implements security controls, and maintains compliance and continuous monitoring across critical systems.

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in IT/CS, at least 5 years’ IT security experience, and strong English and Chinese communication skills. Experience with security standards and certifications is preferred.

Job description

The Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority (HKEAA) is an independent and notfor-profit statutory body which administers public examinations in Hong Kong. Our scope of responsibility extends to administering over 200 international and professional examinations. We are looking for talented people to join hands with the HKEAA family in contributing to the provision of valid, reliable and equitable examinations and a range of assessment services to meet the educational and societal needs of the community. Applications are now invited for the following post:

(Cyber Security)

Duties

• (a) Assist the team in the implementation of cybersecurity projects & compliance programs, and support security related platforms;
• (b) Develop and implement the security controls;
• (c) Maintain systems’ security compliance and continuous security monitoring;
• (d) Assist the team on the systems’ security enhancement programme; and
• (e) Perform risk assessment and security compliance check on infrastructure in the corporate level.

Requirements

• (a) A Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, related disciplines or related disciplines;
• (b) At least 5 years of working experience in Information Technology or relevant working experience;
• (c) Familiar with security technology in the market and with solid experience in implementing related security controls is preferred;
• (d) Good knowledge and understanding of Information Security framework, standards and regulations;
• (e) Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH) are preferred;
• (f) Work with 'can-do' attitude, detail-oriented, well organized and presentable; and
• (g) Good oral and written communication skills in both Chinese and English.

Employment Terms

The remuneration package will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointment will be on a fixed-term contract with contract-end-gratuity, MPF benefits, medical and dental care. Future employment may be offered on renewable contracts subject to performance and staffing needs.
