Job summary

Gfi World in Hong Kong seeks an experienced Network Engineer to maximize network performance and security through proactive monitoring, troubleshooting and incident handling.

You will manage switches, routers, firewalls, VPNs, WAFs, anti-DDoS, and wireless devices while maintaining comprehensive network documentation.

With Mandarin proficiency and a strong sense of responsibility, you could progress toward Senior Network Engineer as you gain experience in IT security and project delivery.

Qualifications

• Degree holder in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related disciplines.
• Holding CCNP or CCNA certifications.
• Minimum 5 years of solid experience in IT ongoing support and IT project management.
• Network knowledge including WAN, LAN, TCP/IP, Routing Protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP), VPN, QoS, Load Balancing.
• Hands-on experience with network devices, firewalls, Wireless.
• Knowledge on IT security.
• Holder of professional Network certifications would be an advantage.
• Self-initiative with good sense of responsibility and can-do attitude.
• Good communication skills, familiar with Mandarin.
• Candidate with less experience will be considered as Senior Network Engineer.

Responsibilities

• Maximizing network performance and security through ongoing network monitoring, troubleshooting and incident handling.
• Manage various network devices and services (e.g., Switches, Routers, Firewalls, Anti-DDoS, WAF, VPN, Wireless).
• Maintain and update documentation on network infrastructure, network setup, inventory, and guidelines.
• Plan, implement and support BAU tasks.
• Liaise with vendors for problem resolution and network project implementation.
• Together with the security group, enhance the company's defense and security capabilities.
