Job summary

The Wharf (Holdings) Limited is seeking a network support professional in Hong Kong Island to monitor, configure and maintain network devices, and provide first-tier assistance for connectivity issues. You will document infrastructure, drawings, inventory and guidelines while evaluating new technologies to meet business needs.

The role requires a degree in IT/CS or related fields and 2+ years of hands-on experience with LAN/WAN, switches, routers and firewalls.

Qualifications

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related disciplines.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in network implementations and operation, with strong exposure to LAN, WAN, switches, routers and firewall.
• Hands-on experience in router & switch management for H3C/Cisco/Juniper; firewall management on SonicWALL/Palo Alto/Check Point.
• Self-motivated, well-organized, good interpersonal skills, able to work independently or in a team.
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese.

• Prepare and maintain documentation on network infrastructure, network setup, drawings, inventory and guidelines
• Assist to evaluate new technologies, plan and implement solutions to cope withthe business requirements
• Handle urgent business requests and network deployment duties timely during normal and non-office hours with company-assigned facilities including phone and laptop

Requirements

• Degree holder in Information Technology, Computer Science or related disciplines
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in network implementations and operation, with strong technical exposure in LAN, WAN, switches, routers and firewall
• Solid experience in network infrastructure implementation projects with internal technical teams and external support partners
• Hands-on experience in router & switchmanagement for H3C/ Cisco/ Juniper; andfirewall management on SonicWALL/ Palo Alto/ Checkpoint
• Self-motivated, well-organized, good interpersonal skills, able to work independently or in a team
• Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese
