Job summary

Selby Jennings in Hong Kong seeks a Middle Office Analyst to support the firm's trading across global markets, coordinating with Portfolio Managers, Traders, and counterparties to manage the end-to-end trade lifecycle and uphold platform integrity. The role offers broad product exposure across asset classes and direct interaction with front-office stakeholders within a leading hedge fund environment.

You will contribute to reconciliation, controls, and automation initiatives, using Excel,

Qualifications

2–6 years of experience in trade support or related operations.
Exposure to both listed and OTC products across asset classes.
Experience with Prime Brokers and Fund Administrators is preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Monitor and support daily trading activities across multiple asset classes; ensure accurate trade capture and settlement.
Perform daily position, cash, trade, and portfolio reconciliations; resolve discrepancies.
Partner with Portfolio Managers, Traders, Prime Brokers, and service providers to improve operations.
Drive automation and process improvements using Python, VBA, SQL, or related tools.
Assist with internal reporting and risk/exposure monitoring.
