Job summary

DayOne is seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our growing data center operations team in Hong Kong. You will perform routine and corrective maintenance on pumps, fans, refrigeration units, and associated mechanical systems to ensure uptime and reliability.

Working with a safety-conscious team, you will follow SOPs and participate in incident response, preventive maintenance, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical maintenance of pumps, motors and heat exchangers.
• Ability to troubleshoot under supervision.
• Familiarity with safety procedures and LOTO.

Responsibilities

• Maintain pumps, motors, valves, heat exchangers, and other mechanical systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair under supervision, including component replacement.
• Support chilled water system troubleshooting/restoration activities.
• Develop and follow MOPs, SOPs, and safety procedures for mechanical work.
• Conduct routine mechanical inspections and identify abnormal equipment conditions.
• Assist in emergency response during cooling or mechanical incidents.
• Maintain documentation, update maintenance logs, and comply with operational standards.
• Ensure adherence to safety practices including LOTO, chemical handling procedures.
