Job summary

Orange Biotech Limited is seeking a Part-Time Mechanical Engineering Intern to support design and development of microfluidic diagnostic devices. You will assist in mechanical design, prepare engineering drawings, and update CAD models under supervision of the R&D team.

The role requires pursuing or completed UG/MSc in Mechanical or related fields, with 1 year of relevant experience and proficiency in SolidWorks and manufacturing processes. Injection moulding/machining experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed UG/ MSc in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
• Proficient in SolidWorks and able to produce clear engineering drawings.
• Good understanding of dimensions, tolerances, fits and common manufacturing processes.
• Experience with injection moulding / machining is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assist in mechanical design and development of microfluidic devices.
• Prepare detailed mechanical drawings and update CAD models.
• Organize CAD files, BOMs and manufacturing documentation.
• Support manufacturing processes incl. machining, bonding, molding.
• Collaborate with R&D and external manufacturers to resolve DFM issues.
