Job summary

LUNHUA EDUCATION INVESTMENT (HONG KONG) LIMITED is hiring to deliver Mathematics and Science lessons to primary and secondary students in Hong Kong. You will design lessons, conduct small-group and one-to-one teaching aligned with HKDSE, IB, IGCSE and other local curricula, and support recruitment through trial classes and parent seminars.

The role requires a university degree in a related field and at least 1 year of teaching experience, with strong classroom management and communication

Qualifications

• University degree in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Science or related discipline.
• At least 1 year of Mathematics or Science teaching / tutoring experience; experience in a tutorial centre or international curriculum is preferred.
• Familiarity with local Hong Kong curricula and public exam requirements (HKDSE Mathematics Compulsory Part, M1 / M2, Primary Internal Assessment, Science paper arrangements, etc.); ability to teach IB / IGCSE is an advantage.
• Language: fluent Cantonese; ability to teach in Putonghua is preferred; ability to teach in English is an advantage.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills; patient, responsible, and able to work weekends and evenings.
• Must hold valid working rights in Hong Kong.

Responsibilities

• Teach Mathematics and Science across primary and secondary levels in small groups (4-8 students) and one-to-one lessons.
• Prepare lesson plans, handouts, tiered exercises and mock papers according to HKDSE, IA, IB and IGCSE curricula.
• Set and mark quizzes and mock exam papers, analyse student performance data, produce learning reports and provide progress feedback to parents/students.
• Conduct trial lessons, demo lessons and parent seminars to support recruitment of new students.
• Monitor and improve service metrics such as re-enrolment rate, refund/dropout rate and student satisfaction; maintain communication with parents.
• Participate in academic meetings and jointly develop teaching materials, question banks and tiered curriculum systems.
• Perform other teaching-related duties assigned by supervisors.

Deliver Mathematics and Science lessons to primary and secondary students. Help students improve their results and re-enrolment intent; take part in curriculum development and trial/demo classes, supporting the centre's recruitment and retention goals.

Key responsibilities

Prepare lesson plans, handouts, tiered exercises and mock papers according to the requirements of HKDSE, Internal Assessment, IB and IGCSE curricula.

About you

University degree majoring in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Science or a related discipline; a background in education is an advantage.

At least 1 year of Mathematics or Science teaching / tutoring experience; experience in a tutorial centre, education centre or international curriculum is preferred.

Familiarity with local Hong Kong curricula and public exam requirements (HKDSE Mathematics Compulsory Part, M1 / M2, Primary Internal Assessment, Science paper arrangements, etc.); ability to teach IB / IGCSE is an advantage.

Language: fluent Cantonese; ability to teach in Putonghua is preferred (a significant proportion of our students come from Mainland-Chinese families); ability to teach in English is an advantage.

Strong classroom management and communication skills; patient, responsible, and able to work weekends and evenings.

Must hold valid working rights in Hong Kong (Hong Kong Permanent Resident, IANG visa, or other valid work visa).

Must pass a teaching demonstration (approx. 15-20 minutes) and a subject written test during the interview.
