Job summary

Recruit is seeking a Marketing/Events Assistant in Hong Kong to help plan and execute conferences and related events. You will assist with schedules, registrations, guest lists and on-site logistics, and support delegate and VIP engagement as well as media relations.

The role requires a university degree in marketing or related field and 1–2 years’ relevant experience, with English, Chinese and Mandarin proficiency. Cantonese preferred; HK travel may be needed.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years’ experience in marketing, event management, public relations, media, communications or customer servicing preferred.
• Bachelor degree in marketing, journalism communications or related disciplines.
• Fluent in English, Chinese and Mandarin; Cantonese proficiency preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office; familiarity with Canva or basic design tools is an advantage.
• Team player, proactive with a pleasant personality.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Able to work independently and under pressure; willing to travel overseas occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and implementing marketing campaigns for conferences and events.
• Support event organization, including work schedules, guest lists, registration and on-site execution.
• Assist in delegate and VIP engagement, RSVP tracking, attendee database maintenance and partner relations.
• Coordinate with sponsors, speakers, vendors and internal stakeholders on event deliverables.
• Support media relations and publicity work, including media invitations and material preparation.
• Prepare administrative and project documents, meeting notes and budgets.
• Perform other ad hoc duties to support the department’s events and partnerships.
