Job summary

Liberty International Insurance Limited seeks a Market Architect for Technology-Engineering to define the architecture roadmap across Singapore and Hong Kong. You will lead modernization efforts, balance platform improvements with cost and risk, and align program decisions with enterprise strategy.

Qualifications

• 12–15 years of engineering, programming, or architecture experience with at least 10 years in application architecture in a complex environment.
• Hands-on backend/frontend tech: Java 8+ up to Java 21, Spring Boot 3.x, Spring MVC, Angular/React.
• Practical AWS and Docker/containerization experience.
• CI/CD with GitHub Actions; IaC via Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Strong SQL/NoSQL, caching and messaging systems knowledge.
• Experience with microservices and event-driven architectures.
• Security, regulatory compliance knowledge, including payment controls.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Copilot Agent).
• Excellent communication, influencing skills and Agile practices.
• Ability to learn quickly and collaborate with offshore resources.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead technology strategy and architecture roadmap for APAC markets.
• Drive modernization, debt reduction, and platform improvements across SG & HK.
• Align solutions to APAC standards and Global Architecture review processes.
• Provide architectural guidance to stakeholders across IT, risk, compliance and business lines.
• Develop market target-state architectures with focus on TCO, standards and reuse.
• Promote modern patterns like event-driven architecture, observability, and zero-trust.
• Prototype cross-platform solutions and assess AI-enabled approaches for prototyping.
• Drive security-first posture through governance tools and enterprise patterns.
• Mentor teams, share knowledge, and participate in external industry forums.
