Responsibilities

• Oversee daily treasury settlement operations across products, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Lead, coach and appraise the team, set performance standards and drive engagement.
• Maintain and enhance procedures, workflows and contingency plans for efficiency and control.
• Liaise with Front Office, IT and other stakeholders on requirements and workflow changes.
• Support projects and system enhancements, including UAT and data integrity checks.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, risk and internal policy requirements.

Join a leading bank’s Clearing & Settlement Operations team as Senior Settlement Manager (Treasury Operations), overseeing treasury settlement activities, controls, team leadership and change initiatives. This role suits an experienced treasury operations manager with strong product knowledge, regulatory awareness and a track record in managing daily settlements and projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily treasury settlement operations across products, ensuring accurate processing, timely reporting and robust controls.
• Lead, coach and appraise the team, setting performance standards and driving engagement, collaboration and cross‑training.
• Maintain and enhance procedures, workflows and contingency plans to improve efficiency, control and service quality.
• Liaise with Front Office, IT and other stakeholders on operational requirements, incident handling and workflow changes.
• Participate in and support projects and system enhancements, including UAT, data integrity checks and post‑implementation review.
• Ensure full compliance with regulatory, risk and internal policy requirements in all settlement activities.

Requirements

• Degree holder, preferably in Economics, Finance or related discipline; TMA or equivalent professional qualification is an advantage.
• Over 5 years’ banking experience with at least 3 years in a managerial role in treasury settlement or treasury operations.
• Strong knowledge of treasury products and end‑to‑end settlement processes, with hands‑on experience ensuring smooth daily operations.
• Solid understanding of banking and regulatory policies, operational risk controls and internal procedures.
• Proven team leadership, stakeholder management and communication skills with strong risk awareness and attention to detail.
• Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin).
