Job summary

Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) invites a dynamic accounting professional to lead the Exhibition Services accounting team at Tseung Kwan O Logistics Centre. You will report to the Head of Exhibition Services and oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable, asset inventory, and financial reporting.

Using your 8+ years of experience and HKICPA qualification, you will ensure compliance, prepare budgets, forecasts, and liaise with Finance & Accounts.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting/Finance or related discipline.
• Qualified accountant (HKICPA or equivalent).
• Minimum 8 years of accounting/financial management experience in sizable organizations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Exhibition Services accounting team; manage accounts receivable/payable and asset inventory.
• Ensure timely preparation and submission of accounting reports and budgets/forecasts.
• Maintain internal controls and liaise with Finance & Accounts on annual budgeting and quarterly reviews.
• Perform ad hoc assignments as required.

The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) is a statutory body established in 1966 to promote, assist and develop Hong Kong's trade. With 51 offices globally, including 13 in the Chinese Mainland, the HKTDC promotes Hong Kong as a two-way global investment and business hub.

The HKTDC organises international exhibitions, conferences and business missions to create business opportunities for companies, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), in the mainland and international markets. The HKTDC also provides up-to-date market insights and product information via research reports and digital news channels.

We are seeking a dynamic, high-calibre and experienced professional to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Head of Exhibition Services and provide timely, accurate analytical reports to support the planning, monitoring, control, and reporting of departmental budgets and operational activities.
• Lead a small accounting team in managing the financial and accounting functions of the Exhibition Services Department, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and operating asset inventory management.
• Ensure the timely preparation and submission of accounting reports, and liaise with the Finance & Accounts Department on annual budgeting, quarterly budget reviews, monthly forecasts, and financial reporting.
• Maintain policies and procedures to ensure effective internal controls and compliance.
• Perform ad hoc assignments and undertake additional responsibilities as required.

Requirements

• Degree holder in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, and/or a qualified accountant with a recognized professional qualification (HKICPA or equivalent).
• Minimum 8 years of relevant accounting and financial management experience gained in sizable organizations.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities under tight timelines while meeting deadlines.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with keen attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel; knowledge of Oracle or other ERP systems is an advantage.
• Work Location: Tseung Kwan O Logistics Centre (Shuttle bus service provided from Tiu Keng Leng MTR Station)
