Job summary

IO Tech Solutions Limited in Hong Kong is seeking a hands-on Machine Learning Engineer (GenAI / LLM) to design and deploy practical AI solutions for financial services.

You will work with a Senior Engineer and cross-functional teams, applying Python and ML libraries to real banking workflows, with a hybrid work arrangement in Central.

This role offers exposure to document processing, RAG, NLP, and cutting-edge AI technologies in a dynamic fintech environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or related discipline.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in Machine Learning/AI, or 2+ years hands-on AI/ML.
• Proficiency in Python and libraries for AI/ML development.
• Experience with Generative AI, LLMs, or ML applications.
• Experience with RAG, NLP, document processing, or information extraction is a plus.
• Financial services or banking domain familiarity preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop Python-based Machine Learning and Generative AI applications for banking-related use cases.
• Build and improve LLM-powered solutions, including document processing, information extraction, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).
• Explore new AI technologies and propose innovative approaches to improve existing workflows.
• Participate in technical discussions, proof-of-concept development, testing, and solution implementation.
• Work closely with engineers and business stakeholders to translate requirements into practical AI solutions.
• Help ensure AI applications are reliable, maintainable, and suitable for their intended use.

Requirements

• Around 3–5 years of relevant experience in Machine Learning, AI Engineering, or software development involving AI; candidates with 2+ years of strong hands-on experience are also welcome.
• Proficiency in Python and experience using relevant Python libraries for AI/ML development.
• Practical experience with Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), or Machine Learning applications.
• Experience with RAG, NLP, document processing, or information extraction is an advantage.
• Financial services or banking experience is highly preferred, particularly familiarity with banking workflows.
