Job summary

DJRecruit Asia is seeking an experienced AI/ML Engineer for FinTech applications in Hong Kong. You will design, build, and deploy scalable AI/ML models, including LLM pipelines, to support fraud detection, risk scoring, and personalized wealth solutions.

You will collaborate with engineering, data, and business teams to translate goals into high-performing technical solutions, ensure data governance and regulatory compliance, and stay ahead of industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Quantitative Finance, Data Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience building and deploying ML/DL models in FinTech/banking/trading environments.
• Strong hands-on in Python, PyTorch/TensorFlow, SQL, and financial data frameworks.

• Architect, develop, and productionize scalable AI/ML models, LLM pipelines, and predictive analytics engines for financial operations.
• Optimize data pipelines for real-time financial data processing, risk modeling, and market behavior analytics.

• Collaborate with product managers and quantitative stakeholders to translate business goals into technical solutions.

You will work closely with engineering, data, and business teams to transform financial services—ranging from automated fraud detection and intelligent risk scoring to algorithmic insights and personalized wealth solutions.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect, develop, and put into production scalable AI/ML models, LLM pipelines, and predictive analytics engines for financial operations.
• Optimize data pipelines for real-time financial data processing, risk modeling, and market behavior analytics.
• Develop agentic workflows and automated decision frameworks to streamline banking workflows and compliance checks.
• Partner with product managers and quantitative stakeholders to translate business goals into high-performing technical solutions.
• Ensure AI systems meet industry standards for data governance, model explainability (XAI), and regulatory compliance (HKMA guidelines).

Requirements & Skills:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Quantitative Finance, Data Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience building and deploying machine learning or deep learning models within banking, asset management, trading, or FinTech environments.
• Strong hands‑on proficiency in Python, PyTorch/TensorFlow, SQL, and financial data frameworks.
• Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), RAG architectures, and NLP for financial document intelligence.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and MLOps best practices.
• Strong understanding of financial products, market data structures, or regulatory compliance standards in Hong Kong.
