Job summary

IO TECH SOLUTIONS LIMITED is seeking a hands-on AI/ML engineer to build practical machine learning and Generative AI applications in a financial services setting. You will collaborate with a Senior Engineer and cross-functional teams to turn new ideas into useful AI-powered solutions.

The role focuses on Python-based development, RAG workflows, document processing, and information extraction, with ownership of technical solutions and a strong emphasis on reliability and maintainability.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI or related field.
• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in ML/AI or software development involving AI (2+ years also welcome).
• Proficient in Python and AI/ML libraries.
• Practical experience with Generative AI, LLMs, or ML applications.
• Experience with RAG, NLP, document processing or information extraction is a plus.
• Financial services or banking experience is highly preferred, particularly familiarity with banking workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop Python-based Machine Learning and Generative AI applications for banking-related use cases.
• Build and improve LLM-powered solutions, including document processing, information extraction, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).
• Explore new AI technologies and propose innovative approaches to improve existing workflows.
• Participate in technical discussions, proof-of-concept development, testing, and solution implementation.
• Work closely with engineers and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into practical AI solutions.
• Help ensure AI applications are reliable, maintainable, and suitable for their intended use.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop Python-based Machine Learning and Generative AI applications for banking-related use cases.
• Build and improve LLM-powered solutions, including document processing, information extraction, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).
• Explore new AI technologies and propose innovative approaches to improve existing workflows.
• Participate in technical discussions, proof-of-concept development, testing, and solution implementation.
• Work closely with engineers and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into practical AI solutions.
• Help ensure AI applications are reliable, maintainable, and suitable for their intended use.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related discipline.
• Around 3–5 years of relevant experience in Machine Learning, AI Engineering, or software development involving AI; candidates with 2+ years of strong hands-on experience are also welcome.
• Proficiency in Python and experience using relevant Python libraries for AI/ML development.
• Practical experience with Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), or Machine Learning applications.
• Experience with RAG, NLP, document processing, or information extraction is an advantage.
• Financial services or banking experience is highly preferred, particularly familiarity with banking workflows.
