Job summary

King & Wood in Hong Kong seeks an experienced M&A and PE Senior Associate to lead cross-border transactions, work autonomously with partners, and provide commercially astute advice.

The role requires fluency in English and Mandarin, deep private equity and M&A knowledge, and the ability to manage client relationships across PRC, HK, and international markets.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of PE/M&A experience with top HK or international firms.
• Admitted in Hong Kong or PRC; cross-border financing or HK exposure preferred if PRC admitted.
• Solid PE and M&A experience with cross-border investment and financing exposure.
• Ability to assist partners and seniors in managing client relationships.
• Ability to collaborate with partners, seniors and juniors in a team.

Responsibilities

• Support partners and seniors to manage client relationships and deal execution.
• Contribute to cross-border M&A and PE transactions with diligence and analysis.
• Draft and review deal documents with attention to regulatory and commercial considerations.

About the job M&A and PE Senior Associate

Position Summary

As an experienced Senior Associate, you will have the opportunity to build a successful career in an achievement orientated yet supportive environment. You will be working in an international law firm, and enjoy the challenge of taking on matters autonomously, seeking guidance and support as required.

General corporate experience, with a focus on cross-border investments and financing with PRC, Hong Kong and international exposure; excellent analytical and communication skills and English and Chinese, and an ability to produce commercially astute advice is required to effectively support client's needs in this role.

Qualifications & Knowledge

You will have:

• at least 5 year of PE/M&A experience with top HK firms or international firms in HK
• admitted in Hong Kong or PRC (if admitted in PRC, sufficient exposure to cross-borders financing or M&A deals with working experience in Hong Kong preferred)
• solid Private Equity and Mergers & Acquisitions related work, cross-border investment and financing exposure and general corporate experience
• ability to assist partners and seniors to manage client relationships
• ability to work effectively with partners, seniors and juniors in the team
• strong fluency in both English and Mandarin (spoken, reading and writing is essential)
