Job summary

Lenovo in Hong Kong seeks an experienced Data Center Operations Specialist to monitor and maintain critical infrastructure including power, cooling, and fire suppression, coordinating preventive maintenance with vendors.

You will handle incident escalation, access control, environmental patrols, helpdesk support, and inventory reporting. A Higher Diploma or above and 5+ years in data center ops are required, with readiness for 24/7 shifts.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in data center operations.

• Able to work under pressure and in a 24/7 shift rotation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee data center infrastructure including power, cooling, fire suppression systems.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance with vendors.

• Manage visitor entry and equipment movement per security protocols.
• Conduct routine environmental patrols to maintain a safe operating environment.
• Provide timely helpdesk support and troubleshoot user inquiries.
• Assist with inventory checks, site maintenance, and operational reports.

Job Duties

• Facility Monitoring: Oversee data center infrastructure including power, cooling, fire suppression systems, and coordinate preventive maintenance with vendors.
• Incident Problem Management: Act as the first point of escalation, coordinating responses to incidents and assisting in problem resolution.
• Access Control: Manage visitor entry and equipment movement to ensure strict compliance with security protocols.
• Environmental Patrols: Conduct routine inspections to maintain a safe and efficient operating environment.
• Helpdesk Support: Provide timely assistance to users by handling inquiries, requests, and troubleshooting issues.
• Operational Support: Assist with inventory checks, site maintenance, and preparation of operational reports

Job Requirements

• Higher Diploma or above in a relevant discipline
• Minimum 5 years of experience in data center operations (candidates with less experience may also be considered)
• Customer-oriented with passion, patience, and caring attitude.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• A team player with positive attitude, proactive, detail and result oriented mindset, fast learner, able to change, able to work independently and under pressure.
• Willingness to work on a 24/7 shift rotation
