Job summary

Lenovo Inc. is seeking an experienced Principal Technical Consultant to lead enterprise technology transformation initiatives for enterprise customers. This role assesses existing landscapes, guides modernization programs, and collaborates with customers to define architecture roadmaps.

You will conduct architecture workshops, lead PoC engagements, and deliver strategic recommendations to executives, while partnering with sales, delivery, and partners to ensure successful transformations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related discipline is required.
• 10+ years of experience in solution architecture, enterprise architecture, technical consulting, pre-sales architecture, field CTO, platform transformation, or related roles.
• Experience leading technology transformation, modernization, migration, or platform replacement initiatives.
• Experience in PoCs, technical workshops, and architecture assessments supporting high-stakes decisions.

We are looking for an experienced Principal Technical Consultant to lead enterprise technology transformation initiatives for enterprise customers. This customer-facing role is responsible for assessing existing technology landscapes, evaluating alternative technology solutions, and guiding organizations through complex transformation and modernization programs.

You will work closely with customers, architects, delivery teams, and technology partners to conduct technical assessments, lead architecture workshops, execute Proof of Concept (PoC) engagements, and provide strategic recommendations that enable successful transformation outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead technology transformation and modernization engagements for enterprise customers.
• Conduct architecture assessments and analyze customer environments across applications, middleware, databases, operating systems, and infrastructure platforms.
• Facilitate technical workshops and discovery sessions to understand customer requirements and transformation objectives.
• Evaluate technology alternatives and define solution recommendations based on technical, operational, and business considerations.
• Design, plan, and execute Proof of Concept (PoC) engagements to validate solution feasibility and mitigate implementation risks.
• Develop transformation roadmaps, migration strategies, and architecture recommendations.
• Identify technical risks, dependencies, and compatibility considerations across complex enterprise environments.
• Collaborate with sales, presales, delivery, and partner teams to support strategic customer opportunities.
• Present findings, recommendations, and business cases to both technical and executive stakeholders.
• Act as a trusted advisor to customers throughout their transformation journey.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in solution architecture, enterprise architecture, technical consulting, pre-sales architecture, field CTO, platform transformation, or related roles
• Proven experience in complex, multi-stakeholder technology evaluation and solution shaping
• Proven experience leading technology transformation, modernization, migration, or platform replacement initiatives.
• Proven experience leading PoCs, technical workshops, and architecture assessments that support high-stakes decisions
• Experience working across several layers of the enterprise technology stack, such as applications/ middleware/ database/ Linux/OS/ infrastructure/platform/ operations/tooling
• Experience engaging with vendors, partners, customers, and internal delivery teams
• Experience in open-source adoption or migration projects, enterprise platform modernization, cloud transformation, or large-scale technology migration programs
• Experience leading architecture reviews, technical assessments, and technology evaluation projects in large enterprise environments.
• Proven experience designing and executing PoCs and technical validation exercises.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate complex technical challenges.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and senior business executives.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into practical business recommendations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with financial services, insurance, or large enterprise customers.
• Familiarity with technology substitution and modernization initiatives in complex regulated environments.
