Smith & Associates Far East Ltd. in Hong Kong seeks a proactive logistics associate to manage inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring on-time delivery and smooth customs clearance. You will resolve delays, provide quotes, and pursue cost-efficient solutions while staying on call when needed.

Responsibilities

• Ensure inbound and outbound shipments move quickly and meet schedules.
• Resolve delays and issues on inbound/outbound shipments.
• Expedite shipments through customs in compliance with regulations.
• Identify service failures and process credits with carriers.
• Move shipments quickly (next flight outs, hot shots, etc.) when needed.
• Provide timely international and domestic quotes for Smith & Associates shipments at minimal cost.
• Research missing freight and file claims when required.
• May be on call overnight.

Essential Job Duties

• To ensure all shipments coming inbound and going outbound move as quickly as possible and are delivered within their schedule


• Resolve any issues associated with delays on any inbound or outbound shipments


• To ensure all shipments are proactively expedited through customs and are imported in accordance with customs compliance


• Identifying service failures in a timely manner and processed for credit approval according to the carrier guidelines


• When needed, move shipments as quickly as possible (next flight outs, hot shots, drop shipments, etc.)


• To provide timely international and domestic quotes for any Smith & Associates or Consignment shipment at a minimum cost where service is not jeopardized


• To proactively research missing freight and file claim if needed


• May be on call throughout the night
