Job summary

Smith is seeking a contract negotiation professional to review, draft, and negotiate commercial, sales, and procurement agreements. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders to align terms with policies and business objectives, and mitigate risks.

You will maintain contract records, guide business teams on obligations, and contribute to templates, playbooks, and best practices to improve processes in a fast-paced, global environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, or related field.
  • 3–5 years’ experience in contract negotiation, preferably in-house.
  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills with good business acumen.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

Review, draft, and negotiate a variety of commercial, sales, and procurement related contracts (i.e., terms and conditions of sale and purchase, non-disclosure agreements, framework, and quality agreements, etc.). Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure contract terms are aligned with company policies and business objectives. Identify and mitigate contractual risks, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Maintain accurate records of contract versions, approvals, and execution status. Provide guidance to business teams on contract interpretation and obligations. Support process improvements in contract management and negotiation workflows. Assist in developing contract templates, playbooks, and best practices for contract drafting and negotiation.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree inLaw, Business, or a related field. 3–5 years’ experience in contract negotiation, preferably with in house experience. Strong drafting and negotiation skills with good business acumen, commercial sense Meticulous, dedicated and self-motivated Able to thrive in a fast-paced, global and team-oriented environment while working independently. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance business needs and legal risk. Detail‑oriented, organized, and with the ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously. Ability to interact effectively with multiple levels within an organization and across various jurisdictions. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Proficient in reading, writing and speaking English and Mandarin. Proficiency in MS Office, experience with contract management systems is an advantage.
