LIBRARIAN

Hong Kong Adventist College, established in 1939, is dedicated to providing a Christian education that is deeply rooted in the Seventh-day Adventist philosophy. The College's educational approach focuses on the holistic development of individuals, encompassing their mental, physical, and spiritual well-being. In line with its commitment to academic excellence, the College offers non-local degree programs and local programs in various fields, such as nursing, business, psychology, health and fitness, and religion. Non-local programs are offered in collaboration with Andrews University, a prestigious educational institution based in the United States. The College is now recruiting candidates for an open position as follows:

Job Requirements:

A Master’s degree* in relevant disciplines. An MLS degree is a plus.

Experience in managing library services, ideally in the education sector

Experience in working in an international school setting is an advantage

Excellent communication skills in both Chinese and English

Experience or familiarity with a Library Management System

Strong administrative, organizational, and IT skills

Key Job Responsibilities:

To be responsible for the formulation of library policies in harmony with institution policies and standards.

To coordinate the development of the library's collection and encourage the utilization of the library's services, including participation in cooperative library networking programs.

To be responsible for the preparation and administration of the library budget, including the securing of adequate financial support for new and proposed academic programs.

To be responsible for providing ready access to library materials for all school personnel and for safeguarding the library collection.

To prepare and submit an annual report.
