Job summary

CICC in Hong Kong seeks a senior legal professional to provide ECM and M&A support, focusing on HK and US IPOs, secondary offerings, and related engagements. The role requires 4–6 years PQE from law firms or international banks, with Mandarin and English fluency and strong drafting and negotiation skills.

The candidate will work closely with the investment banking team, monitor regulatory issues, and supervise external counsels. A high level of integrity and proactive collaboration is essential.

Job description

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Providing all kinds of legal advice and support to investment banking department, primarily supporting ECM and M&A business;
• Monitoring and advising business and management on the related legal and regulatory issues involved;
• Supervising and monitoring external counsels’ work for the projects of investment banking department;
• Assisting with trainings and the preparation of templates/ policies/ procedures/ memos;
• Assisting the Head of Legal and Compliance and Team Head on any other legal matters.
• Approximately 4-6 years of PQE gained from law firms or international banks;
• Experience with ECM, HK IPOs, US IPOs, secondary offerings, M&A and other investment banking transactions is required;
• Excellent legal drafting and communication skills;
• High integrity and professional ethics;
• Ability to identify issues;
• Diligent, highly self-motivated and proactive;
• Multi-tasking skill is essential;
• Fluency in Mandarin and English (both written and spoken) is required; and
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with senior personnel of all relevant functions.
• Bachelor’s degree or above in law;
• Legal qualification in a common law jurisdiction.
