Job summary

West Kowloon Cultural District Authority seeks a Learning Programmes Coordinator to help design and deliver learning experiences across talks, workshops, screenings, and family events at the Hong Kong Palace Museum.

The role involves content development for exhibitions, collaboration with internal teams, and research to evaluate audience impact. Candidates should have a university degree and 2+ years of relevant coordinating experience, with fluency in English and Chinese.

Qualifications

  • University degree in education, communications, humanities, museum studies, arts, history, cultural management, social sciences or other equivalent disciplines.
  • 2+ years of coordinating engagement projects and educational events in museum/cultural/educational sectors.
  • Experience developing public learning programmes for Mainland audiences with understanding of the Mainland art/culture landscape.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated, organised, and strong in content development and problem-solving.
  • Willing to work irregular hours, including weekends/public holidays for events.
  • Knowledge of new technologies, online and on-site platforms that facilitate discovery/learning.
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese; Putonghua is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and implementation of learning programmes such as talks, workshops, film screenings, family events, and public courses.
  • Create content and develop interpretative strategies for exhibitions in collaboration with internal teams.
  • Conduct content research, prepare proposals and reports, and perform audience research/evaluation.
  • Coordinate effectively with internal teams and external parties including vendors, schools and NGOs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by HKPM.
