Qualifications

  • Degree in Art/Cultural Studies or relevant disciplines.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in museum learning, programme planning, with a proven track record in planning and delivering cross-disciplinary programmes, academic events, and school/community outreach initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining networks with schools, universities, cultural institutions, and academic partners, with strong knowledge of integrating arts programming into formal educational curricula.
  • Sound knowledge of contemporary museum learning practices and audience engagement strategies, with an innovative, forward-thinking approach to informal learning methodologies.
  • Strong project management, research and communication skills.
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, support and implement learning and engagement programmes, focusing on outreach to youth, schools and diverse community groups.
  • Develop cross-disciplinary talk series, academic seminars and public events such as workshops and interactive activities.
  • Craft compelling interpretive narratives for exhibitions, artworks and ideas across different formats and media.
  • Establish and sustain strong working relationships with artists, curators, educators and scholars to co-develop programme concepts.
  • Actively expand and deepen networks across academic institutions, cultural organisations and broader creative sectors.
  • Support the academic and professional development dimension of programmes, focusing on capacity building for the local art community through cross-disciplinary dialogue with art, incubator initiatives and knowledge-building programmes.
  • Conduct in-depth research and contribute to the development of texts and concepts for learning materials, booklets and other interpretive resources.
  • Generate ideas, texts, and content for the website and promotional channels, especially around exhibition interpretation and public programming, to enhance audience engagement and understanding.
  • Prepare budget plans, forecasts, and programme reports for relevant Learning & Engagement activities. Respond to enquiries from artists and the public, and nurture ongoing relationships with partners, stakeholders and school networks to sustain long-term collaboration.
  • Coordinate with internal departments on various projects. Manage the end-to-end procurement workflow for procuring service providers to ensure timely delivery and quality that meets company standards and best interests.
  • Perform any other ad hoc duties as assigned by the supervisor.
