Job summary

Prudential Services Asia in Hong Kong is looking for a seasoned underwriting leader to guide a team through underwriting assessments and deliver excellent service to sales channels. You will monitor performance to ensure SLA commitments are met with high quality and provide coaching to junior underwriters.

The role requires a solid 8+ years in life insurance underwriting, including 4 years in supervisory duties, along with FLMI and strong interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Solid track record in underwriting with 8+ years in life insurance underwriting, including 4 years in supervisory role.
• Professional qualification in Life Insurance including FLMI.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• University degree in any discipline.
• Good command of English and Cantonese; fluent Putonghua will be an advantage.
• PC literacy: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Chinese word processing.

Responsibilities

• To lead an underwriting team in handling underwriting assessment and provide excellence service to sales channels
• To monitor the team performance to ensure SLA is committed in good quality
• To provide high quality underwriting service with effective communications for sales channels
• To perform risk assessment on case underwriting according to own underwriting authority
• To review suggested cases from junior underwriters and provide coaching to them for staff development
• To participate in relevant projects and implement underwriting initiatives or campaigns
• To preform data analysis and prepare reports for performance monitoring
