Job summary

Argyll Scott Asia is seeking a Lead Solution Architect to provide end-to-end architecture leadership across health and insurance technology initiatives. You will partner with senior stakeholders and product teams to shape scalable, secure solutions from concept through production.

The role is senior, business-facing, bridging strategy and delivery, with emphasis on cloud-native design, APIs, data flows and regulatory standards. 10+ years in architecture preferred.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in architecture or technology roles, incl. 3+ years as lead architect.
• Experience owning end-to-end solutions across large programmes.
• Strong knowledge of APIs, microservices, data and cloud infra.

Job description

Lead Solution Architect – Health & Insurance / $85k P/M

6 Month Extendable Contract

We are partnering with a leading financial services organisation seeking a Lead Solution Architect to provide end-to-end architecture leadership across major health and insurance technology initiatives.

This is a senior, business-facing role acting as the bridge between business strategy and technology delivery. You will work closely with senior stakeholders, product teams and engineering squads to shape pragmatic, scalable and secure solutions from initial concept through to production.

Key Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end solution architecture across applications, data, integration and cloud infrastructure.
• Partner with business leaders to understand customer journeys, operational challenges and regulatory requirements.
• Lead solution discovery workshops and present clear architecture options, trade-offs and recommendations.
• Define target-state designs, API and integration patterns, data flows and non-functional requirements.
• Guide engineering teams through technical decisions, design reviews and delivery challenges.
• Evaluate cloud-native architecture, automation, GenAI and emerging technologies for relevant business use cases.
• Identify and manage architectural risks while ensuring alignment with security, governance and regulatory standards.
• Mentor architects and engineers and contribute to wider architecture governance.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience within architecture or technology, including at least 3 years in a senior or lead Solution Architect role.
• Proven experience owning complex, end-to-end solutions across large business-facing programmes.
• Strong architecture knowledge across APIs, microservices, event-driven architecture, data, integration and infrastructure.
• Cloud architecture experience, ideally with Microsoft Azure, including PaaS, containers, serverless and landing-zone principles.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both senior business leaders and technical teams.
• Experience within insurance, health insurance, banking, healthcare or another regulated environment is strongly preferred.
• Exposure to health claims, group benefits, digital health, HL7/FHIR or sensitive health data would be advantageous.
• Relevant cloud or architecture certifications such as TOGAF, Azure or AWS are beneficial.
