Job summary

CYC MOTOR LTD is seeking a senior hardware engineer to lead the architecture, schematic design, and reviews for high‑power BLDC motor controllers. You will select components, optimize MOSFET/SiC power modules, and review PCBs in collaboration with software and mechanical teams.

The role requires 5+ years in hardware development for high‑power inverters or EV traction systems, with deep knowledge of 3‑phase topologies and gate drivers. HK on‑site position with competitive rewards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Power Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Automation, Electronic Engineering, or related fields.
• 5+ years of hardware development experience in high‑power inverters, motor controllers, industrial drives, or EV traction inverters.
• Deep understanding of 3‑phase inverter topologies, FOC motor control hardware needs, and gate driver design.
• Proven track record in high‑current power loop design with stray inductance, switching losses, and busbar layouts.

Responsibilities

• Lead the hardware architecture, schematic design, component selection, and PCB reviews for high‑power BLDC motor controllers.
• Design and implement the power stage platforms targeting phase current control.
• Design and optimize MOSFET/SiC power modules, gate drivers, busbars, DC bus, current sensing, and protection circuitry.
• Resolve high‑current parasitics, current sharing, ringing, and thermal issues.
• Collaborate with embedded software engineers on VESC firmware porting and hardware interface debugging.
• Lead validation, testing, EMC mitigation, and failure analysis.
• Drive prototypes through design, build, validation, and mass production (NPI).
• Author and maintain design specs, calculation sheets, test reports, BOMs, and manufacturing instructions.
