Job summary

HSBC Global Services Limited is seeking a Lead Platform Engineer in Hong Kong to lead the delivery and support of data-related infrastructure and architecture for scalable storage and consumption. You will design interfaces and front-end usability for internal and external users, while engineering security measures across systems, networks, products, and services.

You will also establish a digital environment that automates processes to minimize variation and ensure high-quality code and data,

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms and services (GCP, ALI).
• Strong understanding of container-based services and microservices.
• Experience with modern development tooling, integration patterns and automated delivery.
• Excellent communication and ability to influence stakeholders across levels.

Responsibilities

• Delivery and support of data-related infrastructure and architecture for scalable storage and consumption.
• Design and develop applications focusing on interface usability for internal/external users.
• Engineer and implement security measures for protection of systems and services.
• Establish a digital environment and automate processes for consistent high-quality code and data.
• Provide incident support as directed by DevOps leadership.
• Ensure resilience, sustainability and recovery objectives for software solutions.
• Stay current with cyber security, data privacy and data residency regulations.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and Architects to translate requirements into detailed stories and roadmaps.
