TechForce is seeking an experienced Lead Data Engineer to join a large-scale APAC data transformation programme in the financial services sector. You will lead the design of an enterprise data platform and guide delivery across markets in Asia.

Responsibilities include defining enterprise data models, building pipelines with Azure Data Factory, Databricks, PySpark, Python and SQL, and mentoring distributed teams while aligning with architects and stakeholders to drive measurable business value.

TechForce is looking for an experienced Lead Data Engineer to join a large-scale regional data transformation programme within the financial services sector. This role will be responsible for designing enterprise data models, leading Azure and Databricks-based data engineering delivery, and driving the development of scalable data products that enable analytics, reporting, and AI initiatives across multiple markets in Asia.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and delivery of a regional enterprise data platform, shaping the data foundation that powers analytics, reporting, and next-generation AI initiatives across multiple markets in Asia.

Define and develop enterprise data models that transform complex business requirements into scalable, high-quality data products used by key business and technology stakeholders.

Drive end-to-end data engineering delivery using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, PySpark, and cloud-native technologies to build robust, high-performing data pipelines.

Provide technical leadership to distributed engineering teams, mentoring developers, establishing best practices, and influencing engineering standards across regional delivery teams.

Partner closely with architects, business stakeholders, and data teams to translate strategic goals into innovative data solutions that create measurable business value.

Champion modern data and AI capabilities, helping to build a future-ready data ecosystem that enables advanced analytics, automation, and intelligent decision-making.

Requirements

Proven experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale data platforms, with strong expertise in Azure Data Factory, Databricks, PySpark, Python, and SQL.

Strong data modelling capabilities, including conceptual, logical, and physical data modelling, with experience creating scalable data structures for analytics and reporting.

Experience leading data engineering teams or technical workstreams, with the ability to mentor engineers, guide solution delivery, and drive engineering best practices.

Hands-on experience building cloud-based data lakes, data warehouses, or modern data platforms, delivering high-quality data products in complex enterprise environments.

Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions and collaborate effectively across business and technology teams.

Experience working in large-scale enterprise transformation programmes, ideally within financial services, insurance, wealth management, or other highly regulated industries.
