Job summary

Leadingnation is seeking an experienced Sr Applications Developer to join its technology team in Hong Kong. You will lead development, enhancement, and support of critical enterprise applications and drive digital transformation using modern stacks and AI-enabled practices.

You will collaborate with stakeholders, manage development projects, and ensure performance, security, and reliability across systems, while mentoring teams and coordinating with vendors as needed.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
• 7+ years of application development and support experience.
• Experience with Java/J2EE and modern frameworks.

The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders to deliver modern application solutions, drive digital transformation initiatives, and leverage emerging technologies including AI-enabled development practices.

Responsibilities of the Role:

• Develop, enhance, and support enterprise applications and business systems.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• At least 7 years of experience in application development and support.
• Strong hands-on experience with:
• Java, J2EE / Jakarta EE
• Spring Framework / Spring Boot
• React.js
• Node.js
• RESTful API development
• JavaScript ecosystem technologies
• Git version control
• Experience with Oracle, SQL Server, or MySQL databases.
• Familiarity with container technologies and modern development practices.
• Experience in integrating applications with Azure AD, SSO, and MFA is preferred.
• Knowledge of AI-assisted development tools and coding assistants is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent in both English and Cantonese; Mandarin is a big plus.
