Job summary

English Schools Foundation’s Renaissance College in Hong Kong is seeking a Laboratory Attendant to support science laboratories, assist technicians and help maintain equipment.

You will wash and dry glassware, tidy labs, manage resources, ensure safe storage, and follow Health and Safety protocols. A F.5 graduate with bilingual English/Chinese skills and the ability to work under pressure is required.

Qualifications

• F.5 graduate or equivalent.
• Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Chinese.
• Able to transport laboratory equipment across floors.
• Initiative, independence, organisation and time-management.
• Able to work under pressure and within tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist laboratory technicians in the operation and maintenance of Science laboratories.

Renaissance College is seeking a Laboratory Attendant to join the team.

Laboratory Attendant

• Assist laboratory technicians in the operation and maintenance of Science laboratories.
• Washing and drying glassware
• Cleaning and tidying labs
• Purchasing and organising resources for classroom use
• Ensure proper and safe storage of equipment and materials
• Carry out the necessary cleaning and maintenance duties
• Inform laboratory technicians of any equipment or lab apparatus that requires replacement or maintenance
• Take care of Animals and Plants in the Science Labs
• General administrative duties i.e. purchasing, quotation, photocopies and laminating etc
• Follow the Health and Safety Protocols of the Science Department
• Assist with the discarding of examination materials (internal and external)
• Delivering and retrieving materials for practical lessons
• Assist with preparation of the Annual Wishlist Items for the following year
• Assist in ad hoc projects when required
• Undertake any other duties as required by the Head of Department and/or Senior Technician

Requirements
