Job summary

Jane Street in Hong Kong is seeking a Korea-focused Trading Controls Specialist to join our team. You will interpret, design and implement pre- and post-trade controls and work with internal teams to support Asia expansion.

You will gather feedback on Korea UTP and short sell rules, build relationships with onshore counterparties, translate rule interpretations into our controls framework, and monitor new trading flows for impact on controls.

Qualifications

• Have 8+ years of relevant experience in trading controls design and implementation.
• Knowledgeable with Korea exchange rules (APAC experience a plus).
• Familiar with electronic trading regulations and system design.
• Experience working with developers; some coding skills would be a plus but not required.
• Fluent in English and Korean.

Responsibilities

• Gather feedback from brokers and exchanges on Korea UTP and short sell rules to guide business decisions.
• Build relationships with onshore counterparties to gather regulatory feedback and market sentiment.
• Work with Korea Business Development, Trading, Compliance and Technology to translate rules into the controls framework.
• Monitor and evaluate new trading flows and their interaction with controls.
