Job summary

Cowsquare Technology Limited in Hong Kong is seeking a Junior Java / Node.js Developer to join a POS/RMS integration project. You will work with a Solution Architect to translate requirements into tasks and coordinate development activities.

This role targets junior developers eager to gain hands-on experience in enterprise system integration, with opportunities to contribute across backend services, APIs, and deployments.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of software development experience (Fresh graduates with strong internship/project experience are welcome).
• Knowledge of Java or Node.js development.
• Basic understanding of RESTful APIs and backend development.
• Familiarity with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Understanding of Git version control.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to learn and work in a collaborative team environment.
• Exposure to POS, Retail, Restaurant Management Systems (RMS), or system integration projects is a plus.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain application features for the POS/RMS integration project.
• Implement assigned functions and modules based on technical specifications provided by the Solution Architect.
• Develop backend services and APIs using Java or Node.js.
• Collaborate closely with QA engineers and other developers throughout the development lifecycle.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues.
• Participate in code reviews and follow established coding standards and best practices.
• Support system integration testing and deployment activities.
• Prepare technical documentation where required.
