Job summary

• Ability to work independently and handle client and stakeholder queries when required.
• Strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Support and execute trades across multiple asset classes, including fixed income, bonds, equities, and structured products.
• Manage order flow and ensure timely, accurate execution of trades in line with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
• Perform pre-trade checks and ensure compliance with internal policies and relevant regulations.
• Act as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders and clients on trade-related queries, particularly in the absence of the senior trader.
• Coordinate closely with portfolio managers, relationship managers, and operations teams to ensure smooth trade lifecycle management.
• Monitor and follow up on trade settlement, allocations, and reconciliation processes.
• Maintain accurate records of trades and transactions.
• Contribute to process improvements, system enhancements, and automation initiatives (including use of Python/VBA where applicable).
• Support the development and maintenance of broker and counterparty relationships.

As part of the expansion of its trading function, the firm is seeking a Junior Trader to join its Hong Kong team.
