Job summary

Lote and Partners is seeking a junior Investment Analyst in Hong Kong to join a concentrated, research-driven hedge fund team. You will generate and defend long and short ideas across sectors, working closely with Portfolio Managers in a dynamic public markets environment.

The role focuses on building robust financial models, conducting primary research including management meetings and channel checks in Greater China, and monitoring positions with sizing and exit strategies.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in investment banking or private equity in Hong Kong
• Fluent Mandarin and English, written and spoken
• Strong financial modelling, valuation and accounting skills
• Genuine passion for public markets with personal investing track record preferred
• Independent judgement and conviction to defend a view

Responsibilities

• Source, research and pitch long and short ideas across sectors and geographies
• Build and maintain financial models, valuations and investment theses
• Conduct primary research: management meetings, expert calls, channel checks and on‑the‑ground diligence in Greater China
• Monitor existing positions, earnings and catalysts, and recommend sizing and exits
• Read and synthesize Chinese-language filings, news and industry sources
