Job summary

LRQA is seeking a Junior Data Scientist to work on EiQ, our flagship supply chain intelligence platform. You will handle full data lifecycles from raw sources to trusted datasets and production-ready AI products, applying ML, generative AI, and data engineering skills.

You will collaborate with consulting, assessment, product, and technology teams to deliver end‑to‑end solutions, translating ESG challenges into actionable analytics and measurable outcomes. Mandarin is a plus.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in computer science, Data Science, AI, Statistics, Engineering, or related quantitative field.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience in data science or ML.
• Strong Python and SQL skills, writing maintainable code.
• Experience building data pipelines from ingestion to curated datasets.
• Solid understanding of ML methods, statistics, and experimental design.
• Experience with structured and unstructured data and feature engineering.
• Hands-on cloud experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP; Azure preferred.
• Knowledge of generative AI, LLMs, prompting, embeddings, and RAG.

Responsibilities

• Analyze ESG and supply-chain data to generate actionable insights.
• Design, build, deploy, and monitor scalable data pipelines and ML solutions.
• Ensure data quality, governance, privacy, and responsible AI practices.
• Develop cloud-based data/AI solutions, preferably on Azure; other clouds valued.
• Contribute to data/AI product design and continuous improvement.
• Translate business/ESG challenges into analytical approaches and measurable outcomes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions and communicate findings clearly.
