Job summary

PERSOL is seeking a capable IT professional to join a Government department in Hong Kong. The role focuses on IT systems operation support, maintenance and enhancements to ensure stable production services.

Responsibilities include providing ongoing support to in-house systems in production, assisting enhancements through programming, testing and bug fixing, eliciting user requirements, liaising with contractors, and supporting infrastructure and system setup.

Qualifications

• Higher Diploma or above in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 3 years post-qualification experience and 1 year in a similar capacity.
• Solid experience developing web-based applications using Java.
• Solid experience with databases such as MariaDB.
• Solid experience in eliciting user requirements and analysis.
• Solid experience in supporting infrastructure and system setup.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing support to in-house systems in production.
• Provide technical support for enhancements of in-house systems, including programming, testing and bug fixing.
• Elicit user requirements and liaise with contractors to complete changes and enhancements.
• Provide technical support on infrastructure and system setup.
• Carry out other IT-related duties as required.
