Job summary

CL Technical Services Ltd. in Hong Kong seeks an IT Infrastructure Administrator to administer virtualization environments, SAN storage, and backup systems. You will coordinate migrations, plan relocations, and ensure continuous operation of production IT infrastructure.

Required: 3+ years in virtualization (VMware vSphere or similar), SAN/storage management (NFS/S3), and experience coordinating vendors. On-site Hong Kong-based role with procurement responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Job description

Infrastructure Administration & Maintenance:

Administer, configure, and support virtualisation server hosts, virtual machines (VMs), SAN switches, enterprise storage systems (SAN, NFS, S3), and backup solutions.

Perform system updates, version upgrades, and patch management across all infrastructure components.

Project Execution & Migration:

Coordinate with external contractors to install alternative hypervisors and seamlessly migrate virtual machines from VMware to new platforms.

Plan, organize, and execute hosting site relocation activities for the ICI.

Conduct post-relocation testing, troubleshooting, and system verification to resume production services timely.

System Operations & Support:

Monitor server and storage health, execute system changes, and perform routine maintenance.

Provide ad-hoc hardware and software troubleshooting for production, resilient server, and storage environments.

Procurement & Maintenance Management:

Manage procurement processes for server/storage equipment, hardware/software maintenance contracts, and vendor support services.

Requirements

• Higher Diploma / Degree in Computer Science or related subjects
• Minimum 3 years of experience in virtualisation platforms (VMware vSphere and/or alternative hypervisors).
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience managing SAN switches, enterprise SAN storage, NFS, and S3 protocols.
• Minimum 3 years of experience administering enterprise backup solutions and enterprise-level IT infrastructure management and support experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience liaising with, directing, and coordinating contractors and third-party vendors.
• Minimum 2 years of experience participating in datacenter/hosting site preparation, physical relocation, or rack/server migration.
