Job summary

Manulife Hong Kong is seeking a seasoned Life Insurance Product/IT Analyst to drive product development and testing initiatives within our HK operation. You will collaborate with diverse stakeholders, evaluate requests from product development and operations, and lead end-to-end solution design.

The role requires strong knowledge of life insurance products, policy administration systems, and hands-on testing expertise, with fluency in English and Chinese.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience in the life insurance industry.
• Strong knowledge of life insurance products and new product development projects.
• Experience with policy administration systems enhancement.
• Excellent communication in English and Chinese.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure timely implementation of product development/enhancement projects.
• Evaluate requests from product development and operations, as well as value streams.
• Build consensus and facilitate discussion with IT development teams.
• Elicit user requirements and document end-to-end solutions.
• Define test strategy and manage testing to meet business objectives.
• Present systems training to business users.
• Own, investigate and resolve systems and project issues.

• Hands-on and thorough understanding of individual insurance products, operations, and processes
• Experience in policy administration systems enhancement
• Well organized and attentive to details, flexible with working hours
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills, and disciplined with project scheduling
• Able to clearly articulate business processes and ideas verbally and in written English and Chinese (including Mandarin).
• Self-initiated and have a strong drive to learn
• Strong PC skills including MS Word, Excel and good understanding of SQL
• Experience and expertise in executing and supporting complex testing processes
• Minimum 4 years of experience in the life insurance industry, preferably with strong knowledge of life insurance products and experience in working on new product development projects.
