Job summary

Pure Hong Kong is seeking an experienced Investment Risk Manager to join its Risk Management team in Hong Kong. You will provide independent oversight and challenge on investment activities, ensuring decisions align with risk appetite and governance frameworks.

You will work with Investment, Finance and Compliance to strengthen risk frameworks, perform risk assessments, and prepare reports for senior management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Risk Management or related discipline.
• Proven experience in Investment Risk Management in insurance/financial services.
• Strong knowledge of fixed income, equities and alternative investments.
• Understanding of insurance regulatory risk and governance frameworks.
• Excellent analytical and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform independent risk assessments on new investment initiatives, strategies, products and projects.
• Review and challenge investment proposals, providing recommendations to committees.
• Monitor portfolio risks and ensure compliance with risk limits and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare risk reports and risk opinions for senior management and governance forums.
• Collaborate with Investment, Finance, Actuarial and Compliance teams to identify and mitigate risks.
• Support enhancement of investment risk frameworks, stress testing and monitoring tools.
