SAS Planners Limited is seeking an interior designer to join a compact, experienced studio in Hong Kong. You will guide design concepts, space planning and technical documentation for commercial projects, while gaining hands-on ownership from concept to completion.
You'll develop 3D models, renderings, and presentations, coordinate with consultants and suppliers, and participate in client meetings to drive project delivery.
We are looking for a talented and motivated Interior Designer to join our small, experienced team.
You will be involved throughout the design and delivery process, from initial concepts and space planning to technical drawings, site coordination and project completion. Working closely with our team, you will contribute to a diverse range of commercial projects while developing a thorough understanding of design, construction and project delivery.
As a small studio, we offer the opportunity to take ownership of your work, contribute ideas and be directly involved in bringing projects to life.
Contribute to design concepts, space planning, material selection and design development across commercial projects.
Prepare interior design and construction drawing packages, including layouts, elevations, sections, construction details and submission drawings.
Develop 3D models, high-quality renderings and presentation materials to communicate design proposals.
Research and specify finishes, furniture, fittings and materials, including sampling, quotations and procurement coordination.
Coordinate with consultants, contractors and suppliers to resolve technical and design-related matters.
Attend site meetings, review workmanship and help ensure construction aligns with design intent, quality standards and project requirements.
Assist with project management, including programmes, budgets, procurement, site coordination and documentation.
Participate in client meetings and presentations, contributing to design discussions and project delivery.
Minimum of 3 years relevant full-time experience in interior design, preferably in commercial fit-out or design-and-build projects.
Degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture or a related discipline.
Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD preferred) and 3D modelling (SketchUp preferred).
Experience with rendering software; knowledge of D5 Render, Rayon or other visualisation tools is an advantage.
Good design sensibility, spatial awareness and attention to detail.
Sound understanding of construction methods, materials, technical detailing and how drawings translate into built work.
Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage assigned tasks independently.
Proactive, dependable and willing to take ownership of responsibilities.
Fluent in spoken English and Cantonese, with the ability to communicate in written English and Chinese.
A genuine interest in both the creative and practical aspects of interior design.
Right to work in Hong Kong.
We value people who are curious, detail-oriented and take pride in their work.
Experience in hospitality, F&B, retail, entertainment or workplace projects.
Familiarity with Hong Kong building regulations and statutory submission requirements.
Experience using AI tools to improve design, visualisation or project workflows.
Opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of commercial design-and-build projects, from concept through to completion.
A small, collaborative working environment with close mentorship and opportunities for professional growth.
Monthly salary of HK$24,000–28,000, depending on experience and capabilities.
Discretionary bonus based on business performance.
Five-day working week, Monday to Friday, 9:00 am–6:00 pm, with a one-hour lunch break.
Flexible working arrangements to accommodate personal commitments, subject to project requirements.
14 days' annual leave, plus 4 additional days off over Lunar New Year (18 days in total).
Statutory holidays and Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) contributions.
