Job summary

HOK in Hong Kong is seeking qualified interior design professionals to join our international, dynamic team. The role involves translating design concepts into real solutions, coordinating development of design documents and materials, and supporting senior designers in project delivery.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s degree in interior design or architecture, 5–8 years of design experience, and are fluent in English with Mandarin a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in interior design or architecture.
• 5–8 years of design experience.
• Hospitality design experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver design solutions including FF&E.
• LEED accreditation is an advantage.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Fluent in English; Mandarin is a plus.
• Proficiency in Photoshop and/or Affinity; Revit/SketchUp/Enscape required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assists design leader to translate design concept into reality
• Prepares and coordinates the development and preparation of preliminary design concepts
• Co-ordinates the development of technical/design solutions
• Select and research project design materials, furnishings, and accessories
• Co-ordinates and prepares design documents, sketches, plans, details and schedules under the direction of design leader

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in interior design, architecture or equivalent in education or experience
• 5 to 8 years of design experience required
• Good knowledge of hospitality design is a bonus
• Demonstrable skills in creative design solutions including design/selection of FF&E
• LEED accreditation an advantage
• Ability to communicate effectively in presentations and in writing
• Fluent in both written and spoken English, with Mandarin Chinese proficiency is a plus
• Proficiency in Photoshop and/or Affinity required
• Proficiency in Revit and other 3D modeling software such as Sketch-Up and Enscape required
