Job summary

HOK is seeking a qualified Architect to join its team in Hong Kong. The role involves preparing architectural documents using BIM, solving technical/design problems, and collaborating with team members to meet project deadlines.

Ideal candidates should have a Bachelor’s in Architecture, 3-5 years of relevant experience, and proficiency in Revit as well as other 3D modeling software. HOK offers a comprehensive benefits plan, including medical, dental, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• LEED accreditation preferred, otherwise LEED AP or GA required within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and modifies architectural documents, elevations, sections, details, etc. as directed by others utilizing Building Information Modeling (BIM).
• Develops solutions to technical and design problems following established standards.
• Develops, modifies, and/or reviews drawings according to established standards.
• Works closely with design team and assists to complete projects on aggressive schedules.
• Compiles data and performs elementary design computations.
• Performs product research; assists project designers and project architects with materials selection and system research.
• Reports to Project Architect/Project Designer.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture required, Master's degree in Architecture preferred.
• 3 to 5 years of architectural work experience including Construction Drawings required.
• Proficiency in Revit and strong technical abilities required.
• Fluent in both spoken and written English required.
• US project experience preferred.
• Proficiency in 3D modeling software such as Sketch-Up and/or Rhino preferred.
• LEED accreditation preferred, otherwise LEED AP or GA required within 12 months of employment.
