Job summary

CraneR Technology Limited in Hong Kong seeks a Mechanical / Electrical & Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain electrical control systems for intelligent construction machinery. You will develop PLC programs and integrate electrical subsystems with cross-disciplinary teams for efficient machine control.

The role requires hands-on PLC experience, CAD skills (EPLAN/AutoCAD Electrical), and travel to construction sites for on-site support. Fluency in English and Cantonese is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Automation, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related field.
• Hands-on PLC programming experience on Siemens, Mitsubishi, Allen-Bradley, or similar platforms.
• Solid knowledge of electrical control systems, motor drives, sensors, and industrial comms protocols.
• Reading and designing electrical schematics using CAD tools like EPLAN or AutoCAD Electrical.
• Familiarity with cross-disciplinary collaboration and on-site support is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain electrical control systems for intelligent construction machinery and equipment
• Develop and debug PLC programs for automated control of heavy machinery and construction processes
• Design and review electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and component layouts for new and existing equipment
• Collaborate with mechanical, software, and robotics engineers to integrate electrical systems with overall machine control architectures
• Conduct system testing, troubleshooting, and performance optimization at both R&D labs and construction sites
• Select and evaluate electrical components, sensors, actuators, and controllers to ensure reliability and cost-effectiveness
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test reports, and user manuals
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry safety standards and electrical regulations
• Provide on-site technical support during equipment installation, commissioning, and maintenance
