ION Group HK Ltd in North Point is seeking an experienced Insurance Broker to advise clients on their insurance needs and place appropriate products. You will build strong client relationships, identify risks, and drive revenue through new client acquisition and renewals.

The role requires 3–5 years' experience, a valid HK licence or equivalent, and solid knowledge of general, life, and employee benefits. You will negotiate with insurers and provide exceptional service while ensuring compliance

About the role

ION Group HK Ltd is seeking an experienced Insurance Broker to join our team in North Point, Eastern District on a full-time basis. This is a key position within our brokerage operations, where you will play an essential role in advising clients on their insurance needs and facilitating the placement of appropriate insurance products. As an Insurance Broker, you will be at the forefront of client relationships, utilising your expertise to identify risks, recommend suitable coverage solutions, and provide ongoing support to ensure clients receive optimal value from their insurance arrangements. This role is critical to our business success, as you will be responsible for generating revenue through new client acquisition and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients.

What you'll be doing

Assessing clients' insurance requirements and identifying appropriate coverage solutions across various insurance products and providers

Preparing and presenting insurance quotations and proposals to clients, clearly explaining coverage options, terms and conditions

Negotiating insurance terms and premium rates with insurers and underwriters on behalf of clients

Arranging and placing insurance policies with appropriate insurers, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete

Providing ongoing support and advice to clients regarding their insurance policies, claims assistance and policy renewals

Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, insurers, and other industry partners

Maintaining comprehensive records of client information, quotations, policies and correspondence

Keeping up to date with industry developments, regulatory requirements and changes in insurance products and market conditions

Meeting sales targets and contributing to the growth and profitability of the brokerage

Handling client inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and timely manner

What we're looking for

Valid Hong Kong Insurance Broker's Licence or equivalent professional qualification in insurance brokerage

Minimum 3-5 years' experience working as an insurance broker or in a related insurance role

Strong knowledge of various insurance products, including general insurance, life insurance and employee benefits

Excellent understanding of the Hong Kong insurance market and regulatory framework

Proven ability to identify client needs and recommend appropriate insurance solutions

Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex insurance concepts clearly

Excellent customer service orientation and relationship management capabilities

Sound business acumen with the ability to manage multiple clients and priorities simultaneously

Proficiency in relevant insurance broking software and Microsoft Office applications

Fluency in English and Cantonese; Mandarin proficiency is an advantage

Full professional indemnity insurance knowledge and commitment to ethical business practices
